455 oldsmobile w/400 tranny, complete

I have changed my direction on my current project restoration of a #'s matching 350 71 cutlass coupe.

I was going to do a big block and go for huge numbers, but the car is just too original and complete, and I don't have the heart to tear it up.

Therefor, I am selling/trading my 74 455 big block. I know the 74 has small heads, but, this motor is in good condition, complete from stock manifolds, to water pump to original carb. It also has a good condition turbo 400 trans, very strong for great horsepower/torque. Definetly a racer's preference. Not sure exactly how many miles are on this motor.

I have dissasembled this motor in assemblies- I.E. heads/intake-carb/the bottom end is intact and all pistons still seated. It has one spun rod bearing, with no apparent crank damage, and for whatever reason, two or three of the pushrods are missing, not sure how that happened.

With a nice gasket set, and some freshening up, this could be a great addtion to someone's musclecar project, or that big boat in need of alot of torque. The motor was in running condition when I bought it last summer. Kept in garage since taken apart.

I am asking $500 for the whole thing, reasonable considering the heads are a little small, but will be willing to trade for performance of equal or similar value for 71 olds 350.

You can contact me better via my email add, as I don't really check back here that often, and will probably forget I posted this...
