1987 F350 bellhousing1967chevelleSS 04-07-2007, 10:35 PM heres the deal my friend has an 1987 f350 and one day he was towing a babcat and the clutch felt hard but nothing broke. Then the next morning he went to start it and all of the sudden the bellhousing broke into 4 pieces. I think the reason it broke was that the fork was hitting the bellhousing. Anyhow the truck is at the local dealer right now and they are having trouble finding one. He said that the bellhousing was discontinued for this truck in 1990. Is this true? THIS IS HIS WORK TRUCK SO ANY HELP ON FINDING A NEW ONE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. o in case i forgot to say his truck is an 1987 f350 with the 460 motor and the 4 speed manual tranny. thanks in advance. Torch 04-16-2007, 01:55 AM No idea about the discontinued thing, happens all the time though, they only carry parts for so long then they have to move on to the newer models. Your best bet is to scour the local junkyards for spare parts, while the tranny is out now would be a good time to have it overhauled as well. 1967chevelleSS 04-26-2007, 10:23 PM ya sry i forgot aboutthis thread but ya this it true but the trans seems fine and only has about 100,000 miles and i found one it was located in Flordia dont ask me why it wasnt in the computer but i have one now vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
