The old rule of thumb is you can go one size bigger.
It would be better to check with some good tire shops on what will fit.
Good Luck.

Hi all,
Wanted to advise everyone that a tire size comparison sight I love is, miata tire calculator. I always use it to beef up my car tires width at least one size. With my 1990 S10, I went from 215-75/15 to 235-70's and enjoy the difference. Also, if you're looking for a nice tire edge, I went with the Firestone Destination AT.
