02 2500hd LT crew cab speakerscamaro69ss_55 04-06-2007, 01:13 PM I have read that the speakers in the front and rear doors are 6.5's. I am planning on putting in eclipse SE8365 3 ways in all 4. Any pros or cons? I will be using the factory head unit which is NOT a bose. I was also wondering if eclipses SE8235 3.5" 2 ways would fit where the tweeters are? I plan on putting in an eclipse dvd nav head unit in, in about 6 months. Thanks, Jeff rjeffery 04-06-2007, 02:46 PM I have an 02 ext cab. The front spreakers are 6.5". I can't speak for the rear doors on the crew cab, but I would imagine they are the same size. I am running an infinity reference system (4 door speakers, 10" sub & amp) off the stock head. Sounds great. FiTxAg04 04-07-2007, 02:18 PM I have read that the speakers in the front and rear doors are 6.5's. I am planning on putting in eclipse SE8365 3 ways in all 4. Any pros or cons? As for the tweeter spaces, you MIGHT be able to get the 3.5"s to work, but it'd be a little tricky. The factory tweeters are mounted to the interior door panel, not the sheet metal of the door. I'm afraid that if you mounted a speaker that puts out mid-range sound to the interior door panel, you might get some rattling of said door panel... you'd be better off cutting a hole in the sheet metal of the actual door to mount those in there. Personally, I would recommend going with a 6.5" component system (separate mid and high speakers) in the front doors and the 3-ways in the back doors. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
