whenever i turn the key, i get a high pitched whining sound. i know its turning over, and getting fuel, but nothing is firing. it has new plugs and wires, and the battery is cranking at full power. i just replaced the battery posts, and cleaned both ends of the connectors. all the fuses under the dash board are fine. what could it be? if its cranking over, i can assume the starter, solenoid and relay are in working order, and like i said, i know its getting fuel... no ideas left... Please help!

Hey Gorbad, I have a 93 buick skylark with a 3.3L. I just bought it because it (4/08/08) was only $200! wow. It has 62,000 miles on it, right...so why such a young car won't start? I have spent two days on it, all day, non stop. I checked out everything I could think of. I can tell you it's not these...Ignition control module, coil packs, fuel pump, injectors, relays, spark plug wires, timing chain, crankshaft sensor, and not the battery either. I feel you man, hope you get an answer.
