where is the switchsassee 04-02-2007, 04:39 PM On a 1st gen Trooper (1989), 2.6 with auto, where is the safety switch that keeps it from cranking in gear and what does it look like. Obviously I was spraying elec. contact cleaner on something else. Sometimes don't want to crank so I have to wiggle the auto shifter a few times b4 it will fire off! atfdmike 04-03-2007, 07:28 AM http://library.alldatapro.com/alldata/LIB~C23944~R0~OB0~P3R0H~N/0/34870075/56622299/56623602/56623603/34853741/73661176/73661256/56249886/14466754/62699528/58883377 NEUTRAL START SWITCH REMOVAL Unstake the lock washer.
