1995 Jeep Cherokee. I've recently replaced the battary in my car, and it was working fine until one day I was driving home and my air conditioning simply stopped. I don't know if the battary and this problem are linked...I turned off the A/C and tried to put on the heater, no air. I put on the defrost and again, no air was coming out of the vents. Now when I get into my car and try to get any sort of air through the vents, it gives a small puff and then nothing. I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to why this is.

The HVAC system uses engine vacuum to operate multiple vacuum motors.
I would suspect you've lost one or more of the vacuum motors used to control the diverter valves inside the HVAC plenum. You might also have a vacuum line or lines or a central vacuum connector either leaking, disconnected or broken.

First thing... is the AC compressor turning when you turn the AC on?
