'low oil' light coming on!! >_<

low oil lights coming on, wondering where the sensor is.. is it in the oil pan? the one right nexst to the oil change plug?


oil pressure reads fine, engine temps a little on the high side..but i did change coolant and stuff.,
oil dipstick says i have enough.

what do you guys think?

Mine comes on all the time. I hate that thing. Even though my oil level is perfect. I went to NAPA to see how much one was, and they wan't $40 something for it. So I just said screw it, and just ignore it. I guess you could buy a new one, or you could try taking it out during your next oil change and try cleaning it up real good with some degreaser or whatever you prefer to use. That's what I planned on doing eventually to see if that solves the problem.

yeah.. i figured that was the prob. shit. yeah, i was planning on replacing it cuz pretty soon if i dont, all the damn check gauges are gonna come on
sofar:

CEL-> O2 sensor, charcoal canister
Water level sensor-> idk where?!
oil level sensor -> -_-
sometimes i can drive with my brake up for the brake light to go on... :P

It's fairly easy to remove and clean the magnet on the sensor at the next oil change:

All I can dig up on that is that it's called a Coolant lever sensor, and that it's located on the passenger side of the radiator.
