Cleaning the outside of your truckChevyLover247 03-29-2007, 01:38 PM I am just wondering what others use to clean their trucks with? If you have a preference or what you might recommend using... ie foam mitt, sheepskin or lambswool mitt, or something else? Any input is appreciated. :licka: chuck16 03-29-2007, 05:43 PM I keep my truck waxed every 3 - 4 months and it sits in the garage at night. However, when it comes to washing it. I usually just use a Lambswool mitt and water. No soap! then I usually dry it off after I wash it. An All chrome grille is the hardest thing to wash and dry.... I never really had bad swirls like many with dark colors get. DON'T wash or wax in a circular fashion, you'll reduce the chance of swirls if you do a back and forth motion. Check out autopia.com for a lot of tips. Many on there recommend the cheap microfiber towels from Wal-Mart. I'm gonna try them out since their only $3. Chuck, I'm curious why you don't use soap? FiTxAg04 03-29-2007, 09:50 PM I just use a wool covered sponge and a synthetic chamois to dry. Rain-X window cleaner inside and out. I apply a coat of Meguiars #22 Yellow Wax about once every 3 months and a good polish once a year. I take care of any left over water spots with Meguiars quick detailer spray. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
