CustomWhips 10-11-2002, 03:52 AM mad tight man.. i like Tominos 10-24-2002, 10:23 PM do you have a camber kit? Alexxn 00 Si 10-25-2002, 08:38 AM How do those Skunk 2's ride ?? DawsonCivic 10-25-2002, 11:06 AM I just bought a rear camber kit for it, im not too worried about the inside wear on the tires. The skunk2 coilovers ride real nice. They are worth the money. 97gsr 10-26-2002, 02:15 PM I'll vouch for the skunk2 coilovers also...worth the $ VERY NICE RIDE...minimal bouncing..got em on my 90...they will also fit my 97! highly recommend :) dumpedhatch 10-30-2002, 06:39 PM looks real good. my friend has a white civic like yours, and he is trying to find some rims that look good. i will so him this pic. tynebeach 11-05-2002, 06:58 PM yeah I was thinking about buying a skunk 2 coilover kits at some point, but I had a few questions first. 1) DawsonCivic, how many inches inches is your car lowered in that pic? 2) When you but the Skunk 2 coilover kit, do you need to buy anything else to get it set up in your car? 3) I found a set for $280 at mmrusa.com and also really cheap at import-horizon.com, are these good prices? 4) What does a camber kit do? Thanks alot for your time.....v:flash: 97gsr 11-05-2002, 09:51 PM the only thing i recommend buying with your coils is a camber kit when you drop your car, the upper part of your wheels will tilt inward, results are uneven tire wear, and traction loss a camber kit will correct this maybe consider buying some new struts also$$$ DawsonCivic 11-06-2002, 03:42 PM I lowered it about 2.5 inches all around. The KYB adjustables are only guaranteed for a drop upto 1.5". Oh well. The front is dropped as low as possible without rubbing when you turn the wheel. I could go lower but my rims are 17" by 7" and the rims would hit the wheel well. If i kept the factory wheels on then i could slam it all the way down. When you buy all your suspension, if you dont know what your doing, take it to a shop and have them put it on for you. Me and my buddy did it in about 3 hours at his house. We rented a compressor from AutoZone to compress the springs. At AutoZone if you return it the same day its free! I bought all my suspension from ImportHorizon.com, they are super fast and dirt cheap. tynebeach 11-06-2002, 03:48 PM alright sweet, I'll look into all of that. What do you think are some good brands? And also, what kind are the best for the money and if i buy any set that fits my car will it straighten out the tires right for that setup? DawsonCivic 11-06-2002, 04:22 PM the best camber kits to get is Ingalls. They are about 200 for the front with new ball bearings, and about 150 for the back. Thats alot just to make your wheels straight. I bought one on ebay for about 10 bucks. They are just bolts and washers. The lower you go the more washers you put on. With Ingalls they are a hell of alot better but they are too much for me! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
