Also curious about this question as i've had to replace both of them over the course of the last three years.

I have replaced both. The CKP (crankshaft position sensor) started going bad right around 60K miles and the camshaft position sensor around 95K when it thru a code.

I personally have not had to replace either one, the original owner may have though, Im not sure, I bought it from a dealership with 105,000ish miles on it, and Im up to 135,xxx now and havent had troubles with either sensor, or much of anything really.

no, on either sensor, about 62K miles now -

the most annoying problem so far is that both foglight assemblies have developed leaks, and they fill with water and corrode the inside reflectors and shatters the bulbs. And they're about $125 a piece! I've replaced the left one so far - Anyone have a good rt side assembly they want to sell?

Havent replaced either, 2000 131,xxx miles, only thing to ever go bad on this car was the alternator last summer, although it will need suspension work soon, but I digress.

is it a normal thing that these fail after 4 to 6 years?

I've noticed in other car models, these fail much later if it happens at all.

It seems from the poll this is pretty common problem. The place that replaced both of mine said they were replacing a lot of intrigue sensors.
