Error Codes

I have a 97 T&C van and my Service engine light soon came on. I noticed right after that my trans wouldn't shift through all of the gear ranges. I stopped and checked the fluid and it was low so I filled it and it was fine after that. Would low fluid bring up a 700,732,1782, and 1789 code? All of these are trans specific or could there be another problem?

All these codes do appear to be trans related. Did you clear the codes? Clear the codes, and see if they reappear now.

Ditto to jsinton. You can disconnect the battery or a better idea would be to go to Autozone and ask them to reset them using a scanner. It's free. Yes, lack of fluid can cause these codes. Fluid level is critical. Keep it full.
