Does anyone have any feedback on either a Saleen or Roush supercharger on the 5.4 triton F150 enigne? I am not sure if it is the way to go or not. I am looking to boost torque for towing and acceleration. Any drawbacks to supercharagers aside from decrease in fuel economy? How do they work in cold weather, etc.?

I'm no expert on superchargers but at least the "Blower" style tend to make their power at the upper end of the power band. You are going to have to seriously lower your compression to have a blower on there. You could go the Turbo-Charger route, they have a few quirks of their own to deal with.

If it were me I would start off simple by getting better heads, intake manifold, and an "RV" camshaft that produces a lot of low end torque, if you are going to be doing a lot of towing you want as much power as you can at the lower end to get your truck moving. Of course with no load your truck will accelerate very quickly.

Any of the after market companies (Edelbrock, Offenhauser, etc.) should be able to offer you some kind of package where the heads, intake, camshaft, and fuel system all work together.

If you don't have dual exhaust get it, it will seriously wake up most V8 engines, you may need a different engine computer and another O2 sensor to get it to work correctly though.

Thanks for the advice. I am beginning to see that unless you are going to race with a supercharger, for daily driving and towing it may not be the best option. They say it does increase the hp from 300 to 450. The torque also goes up, but this is if you floor the pedal I assume. For standard driving it may not be feasible.
