I'm asking this because I want to do that (in the picture below) to my trunk, but i was thinking It will probably not sound very good, because when the trunk is closed the sound of the sub is going to stay locked in there, does any body have experience in this kind of instalation?...because I really want to do that to my car, but i tought I'd see what you guys think first

ib's can sound verry good. but i don't think that is what that is... not sure though. i have a trunked car, if you get a good enough sub it will be loud enough.

just build a ported box to face the trunk lid like i did if you need box plans just give me measurements of how big you want the box and what frequency you want to play at and i can tell you exactly how to build your box.... heres mine

I plan on using the orion xtr pro sub I have right now, but it's not that good... Its 500w rms, but it is only one....

I know for sure that ported boxes hit harder, but I'm trying to use the least possible trunk space (because i really need it) and from what I know ported boxes need to be made a little bigger than sealed ones, how many cu. ft do each of your subs get in that box?

Cant tell from the depth but it looks like 1.5-2 cubes each. The one in my blazer is 3.65 and i have another one to build.
