99 Legacy-vibrating, check engine light blinks, cyln. #4 misfirefiness13 03-16-2007, 02:39 AM I started having problems a few months ago when i noticed my car idled a little rough, the check engine light came on and it read that cylinder #4 was misfiring. i took it to two different places including dealership, you couldn't tell me what was causing this problem. A few weeks ago my car started to literally "shake" when it was stopped at a light or sign , the RPMs were running high on the freeway, and when i drove it at 40 mph it felt like it was going to stall out, the check engine light blinks and/or stays on repeatedly every day, and the compression of cyln. 4 is at about 50lbs. Is the only way to fix this is by replacing the cylinder head? that's what the dealership said... i need help figuring out this problem, i'm so frustrated!! sha_zapple 03-18-2007, 01:21 AM Could be sparkplug wires, but with PSI that low Im guessing its headgasket or a bent valve. finess13 03-20-2007, 12:53 AM do you know how much that would roughly cost to get either fixed?
