hey guys im new to this site..
just wondering if anyone could help me out. first off the guy i bought the car off of says thats its 85 crx .. but from what ive seen i dont have the same headlights as the 85 crx.. like there not square and in the hood.
and i know for sure its not SI.
its carb engine and i have a sunroof but its not electronic.
ive been looking at possible swaps for my car and i havent seen any up yet about swaping a SOHC vtec d15b into it.. the place im buying it from is getting me the engine the tranny the mounts and the ecu. im just not getting the wireing harness... and i asked the people at the store. "www.japanpowerinc.com" and they said that it should work with the wireing harness in the car. anyone got any ideas or no how hard it will be or easy it will be.. plz help out .. thanks.

u need custom mounts, i believe hasport makes a kit but it's not cheep. since your car is carb you will need the wiring harness, none of your stock harness will be any good

The shop you're getting these parts from has no clue what they are talking about and have never swapped a motor into a 1st gen CRX.
There is no mount kit for this swap, period. You will be making your own mounts.
Your wiring will not work for this swap because you don't have any wiring. Your car does not have an ECU so you need to find a donor wiring harness and splice in everything from the ECU to the motor. Even if your car was an SI, the ECU would not be compatable with this motor and you would be rewiring everything anyway.
This swap can and has been done, but keep in mind you will be fabricating everything needed to get this motor in the car.

ok to finish it off unless your in love with the car dump it. it would cost right around 5 or 6 grand. believe me it would be easier to find a newer civic and swap i na b16 then it would to swap a d15b int oa 1st or even 3rd gen civic/crx
