Here is my version of Tamiya's Ferrari FXX, there isnt much to show and the pictures are horrible, little light atm. I have painted the monococque with Tamiya black and the other part with Almuninium. I have given the front hood and rear cowl paint, they were primed and painted with tamiya Italian Red, not cleared or polished, little orange peel....

Have done some work on the engine but it is in early stages yet, have done some wiring to one side, also i have ordered the Tamiya detail set and hopefully get some mikemechanic machined parts.

Here is what i have so far.

Front lip isn't full painted yet...

O_O! That is awesome! So if it was done with a paint can, then you tamed the awesome technique of "Good Can Painting"...:p
Oops,with Ab'ed,i meant airbrushed...:uhoh:

I have done some more progress but i cant seem to take a good shot of it, this is what i did!

This is what i aimed for, these pictures are hard to see, it was hard to take one without to much glare!

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/anopanjo/2347-21.jpg

I added the wires and that little thing under it,

Again very hard to see!

I will actually trim up the part for the dash again and try and open it up more like the picture!

Got most of the front mocked up, now I need to carbon fibre the monocoque and chassis so I can glue the suspension into place. Which C/F decals should I get?? I think that the SMS are good, but is it black pewter, twirl or what??

The Engine bay just needs some more detailing, like wires etc. But im slowly getting there.

Here are some pics.

Which C/F decals should I get?? I think that the SMS are good, but is it black pewter, twirl or what??

The CF decals provided in the SMS Enzo Super Detail Set are:
Carbon Fiber Twill Weave Black on Pewter 1/20th (2 sheets)
Carbon Fiber Plain Weave Black on Pewter 1/24th (3 sheets)

This is the cheapest site I've found so far for SMS decals and many other items.
http://www.luckymodel.com
http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=SM1424 (1/24th plain weave)
http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=SM1020 (1/20th twill weave)

When searching in this site for SMS decals, DON'T use item name, just select SMS and press go.

HTH,
Steve
