I was there! I didn't meet any of you, but there were LOTS of good looking cars on display. I was particularly fond of the burghandy red 350Z in the curbside class. that paint was FANTASTIC! I entered the black USDM variant 240SX in the same class.

we (myself and my friend brandon) got there at about 10:30, and he immediately set forth an attempt to finish his '69 Camaro (the silver one in the Street machine class), but unfortunately it was still quite tacky (dang enamel clear coat) and he decided not to bother ruining the paint by finger prints while BMF was applied, so it was entered unfinished.

those of you that were there, the wheels on his camaro are the prototype of my resin cast rims. which I'll be working on getting into the market very soon.

I also entered my Tamiya 350Z with the C-West body kit from SAS in the "tuner" class. I must say I was honestly suprised to get first, as the corolla, and MR2 were FANTASTIC builds.

we had LOTS of fun, I can't wait 'till next year to do it again!

I was there at about 3 pm. Didn't enter any cars, since I haven't build anything good lately. There were plenty awesome models on display - that burgundy Z also caught my eye! There was also a very nice blue Corvette in curbside! Got me some decals...

wish I had gotten the chance to meet up with you guys!! This was my first judged contest. I got 3rd in pavement comp with my silver Goodwrench car. I was surprised at the judging in some cases. But all in all it was a good show. I know now the caliber of build that I've got to bring to the next one to take an award. Here are the cars that I had there, unfortunately I got half way there and realized I had forgotten my cobra. It would have placed in the exotic/foreign class. I had the wrangler monte carlo, goodwrench monte carlo, my 1/12 Camaro project, the mustang coupe and monte carlo pro mod, both in the project class, the mineral grey 06 mustang that wasn't quite finished, and the black 57 thunderbird. That camaro caught my eye, wish I had paid more attention to the wheels

here are a my two entries, and the camaro that I was talking about.
first, my 1993 240SX coupe with corrected seats, and automatic shifter modification to replicate (at the time it was built) my 1:1 car.

and my SAS C-west 350Z

then there is Brandon's amazing (only his second build) camaro that is sporting my resin seats, brakes, and wheels.

That's what you think Daki!!! Here's a some you missed:
My just completed '71 GTO Judge - Third Place Curbside
http://images21.fotki.com/v631/photos/2/224343/4733052/100_1049-vi.jpg?1174251477
and my just completed 1970 Camaro SS from Reliable Resin which scored First Place - Slammer
http://images22.fotki.com/v752/photos/2/224343/4733052/100_1079-vi.jpg?1174252707
And here's two more that I displayed in the ever-competitive Street Machine class. No "metal axle" model will ever place in a judged event in Street Machine.

but from the pictures it looks like I didn't miss anything.
ouch, that just hurt!

I personally think it was a great turn out. though not as "star studded" as what I'm used to for the showdown. all in all I guess seeing Scale Master's work on the Blue seven, James Tremblet's renderings along with the super detailed, and high quality of work shown by most of the builders on here kind of makes me numb to most of the standard quality work that myself and many others show.

it was a really good show though. lots of great vendors, and most of all, My friend Brandon was inspired, and encouraged by looking at the other builds and talking to the other builders. YAY, we gained another builder!

I didn't get to go because I worked, but from the pictures it looks like I didn't miss anything.
.

That is just not right - only 6 posts and already putting down work of many others without even seeing it. Learn to respect other's work noob.

Okie - your models were easily identifiable from the bunch - great and clean building style - I didn't know they were yours, but I could tell they were built by one builder.

Thanks for the pics guys.

He did miss some incredible builds. Marc's stuff is truely top notch! As was that 350 Z that car was immaculate, if anyone has a pic of that thing post it up. I know now the quality of build that I need to bring next year. I didn't realize that the judges would be picking the models up and inspecting EVERY aspect of them. My mustang could have been a contender in the common class had it been completed. It was missing the driveshaft, exhaust and none of the undercarriage was complete. Nor the engine since I never got around to building the turbos
