megane scenic immobiliser problem

i have a 98 scenic and the immobiliser is currently stuck on.it has been like this for nearly 4 days now.I have tried the entire web for help but i am still stuck.i know the wiper/accelerator method is for the laguna,but what method can i use for my scenic?
i have heard about the central locking button on the dash method,but it is quite vague.
can anyone tell me the exact way to enter the code,step by step,so i can make sure i get it right first time.if the central locking button needs to be pressed left or right or held for a certain length of time,please include as much detail as possible.
