Hi everyone! This is the first time i post a WIP in this forum!

I am building a stunning E21 BMW Alpina from fujimi. The model is a bit old, so, a lot of pacience is required in the work.

But this is a classic, and what a classic! So, is my job to do a clean and good build. Stay tuned!

Sweet, it's about time somebody else built this kit! I had it in the 80s and need to build it again. Any plans for color or anything?

Go with the Alpina airdam over the Hartge one, by the way ;)

I think i wil paint it black with the wheels painted in white. What do you think?

My last 1:1 e21 was black, so you know I'm a big fan of the color scheme :). The car definitely needs chrome bumper trim though. How about an interior color?

Yes, the trim is going to be painted in chrome, about the interior i am thinking ia an semi gloss black.

I've bought a 6 euros clear coat, this was a great buy because the coat have got a great shine on the portuguese sun! as you can see in the picture. By the way, the wheels are almost done! Stay tuned!

Old school Bimmer rocks :sunglasse

What happend to the wheel arch, it seems deformed?

drawzer

No, nothing is deformed... Maybe a shadow or someting?

I've never seen a shadow like that.. it seriously looks like the whole front end is deformed. You honestly don't see it in the pic? I mean, if you say it's not deformed, then it's probably just a bad photo.

Oh.. heh, heh.. that makes sense then. I was thinking it looked more like a 180sx or something anyway.

Recently, i dont have much time, but today i have dry-fitted the chassis and body to see if i like it, but, instead, another question came into my head: what tipe of rims should i use?

Regarding rims: I think you should use the spoked wheels without the disks, as shown on the front. You did a great job painting the disks, but an e21 needs deep-dished wheels. Those look very much like Alpina wheels.

Hello! I am back with some photos of my BMW :grinyes:

I had a problem painting it, so i re painted it white. This weekend i had an asma problem, so, i can only continue the project next week... :uhoh:

I would also choose the spoke rims, they look great :)

But , also, keep your cat away from your model, that's dangerous :grinyes:

Dash is pleasingly accurate for an early e21. Center of the steering wheel should be black though ;)

The curios thing is that i dont have pictures of the interior of the car, so its funny to know that!

I have some fresh news! I have painted the interior rips in red to give them some color. What do you think? Should i keep them?
Besides, I have made some seetbelts in the back.

The red looks good and old school, but im not sure how much i like it. By the way, the spoked wheels look better to me. ;) Very nice progress so far...

Definitely go for the Alpina rims w/o disks!!!
I like the red stripes on the seats - but the rear seatbelts are WAY too wide.

Keep it on!

New fresh progress! The back of the car is almost ready, the bmw logo misses, i will put it later. I also found some decals that simulate the blue stripe on the windshield to protect from the sun.

Hello all! New progress here! I have repaired some damages that the model sufered, and primed it. Also, i've painted the wheels gold to see how they fit the car, i think they look gorgeous!

I would've preferred the wheels in white. Gold wheels look only good on black cars IMO.
