I have a 91 Camry sedan. There is some sort of unknown electrical problem because my power windows will not roll up or down. I have replaced all of the fuses as well as that thing on the drivers side with all controls for windows and locks. I know it's a problem coming from the drivers side because my power locks and seat belt won't work on that side either. However, the power locks and seat belt do work on the passenger side. I am at the point of feeling helpless and I am going to take it to my dads mechanic. I am just trying to get an idea of what this would cost to fix...worst and best case scenario. Please HELP!

It's pretty common for that generation of Camry. It's the wire harness in your door close to the hinges. The wires are broken due to stress cuased by door open/close. Since you open/close driver's door much more often than the passenger door, the passenger door's wires are still good.

You need to find out the open and reconnect the wires.

Bad wire in the hinge areas, you, an hour, and a splice and crimper = $20

A mechanic with a clue, and an hour = $50-$80.

A mechanic with no clue and 8 hours = $300 - $400. (might be fixed)
