Changing out the Auto 4wd to 2wdautoguy25 03-08-2007, 02:11 AM I have a 99 explorer sport and when I want to go have a little fun in the snow or mud my auto 4wd kicks in :banghead: , I was wonderin if anyone has done this before or knows anything about it, but I wanted to make mine into 2wd and once i needed the 4wd I would switch it myself. I know there is probably a sensor that just controls the auto 4wd and if I unplug that it would throw codes like no other. Does anyone no of a somewhat easy way of doin it, if at all possible without throwin codes? Thanks denisb 03-08-2007, 07:27 PM Try these guys. there was a post regarding this exact topic not that long ago.
