1999 frontierPeevee 03-07-2007, 07:32 AM I have a 1999 frontier with 134,000 miles and I have never changed the timing belt. Is this something I can do myself? I pretty much do all my mechanic work just have never done this. kris 03-08-2007, 12:51 AM Sure, it is not really a hard task. Just a process that needs to be followed correctly. At 134k I would be thinking about doing it now. Peevee 03-09-2007, 08:43 PM Well I figure it's about time for one. I just keep putting it off. I was going to pay a guy to do this and he wants $600 so I am going to do it myself. I figure I can replace alot of extra stuff while I'm at it and still save money. Peevee 04-08-2007, 08:25 PM I got the timing belt changed and it wasn't to bad. I went ahead and put new belts and hoses on everything and new thermostat. The hardest thing was the spark plug in the very back it's a booger to get out. kris 04-08-2007, 10:30 PM Nice. That plug is always a PITA. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
