To my understanding, it is P.V.A glue or Aquadhere (spelling?)
or I think it might be elmers clear glue.

This is what you need here....try your local hobby store
It is a white glue, but when it dries it dries clear. Good for lights and windows etc

One good alternative is normal white glue for wood.
It also get invisible when it dries and don't damage the clear parts.

sometimes i used non-toxic glue for clear parts,that was when i didnt know about kristal clear glue,the non-toxic glue worked good,not perfect but good(maybe it was my newbie-ness),it comes in a tube that looks like the testors glue insteadof red, its blue,takes too long to dry
