my 1992 f150 with the 5.0 is getting around 10 miles to the gallon is that normal

I have the same problem on a '93 w/351 engine. Was getting good mileage, then took it to Ford for a "fuel smell" in the cab, they replaced something on the back of the block. Now I'm down to 10 MPG too. (Maybe a Virus or spyware?)
