Your weathering looks phenomenal as usual. klutz_100 03-02-2007, 02:02 AM I will enjoy following this :) auw12 03-02-2007, 02:35 AM May I ask...what's the scale? It looks like a 1:1 plastic body on a real chassis... JTRACING 03-02-2007, 04:22 AM thanks ! I got the bed put together and painted http://content.bolt.com/uploads7/photo/6/2/3/6/5/9/623659/large/1172830554138.jpg http://content.bolt.com/uploads7/photo/6/2/3/6/5/9/623659/large/1172830430561.jpg JTRACING 03-02-2007, 07:34 AM starting to weather up the bed, and added a bit of junk. Enzoenvy1 03-02-2007, 09:19 AM That is some great weathering! What do you use? By chance have you used the new Tamiya weathering kits? tigeraid 03-02-2007, 11:59 AM Fantastic weathering as usual James. Can you give us some insight on how you do it? JTRACING 03-02-2007, 06:55 PM thanks guys! for weathering all i use is acrylic paint for dry brushing . and different pastels http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/cb1000_f/IMGP4877copy.jpg tigeraid 03-02-2007, 07:37 PM Nice. Do you crumble up the pastels and dry brush the powder, or do you just randomly knick the plastic with the pastel in hand? I really need to try this some day. Problem is these days, I only build for customers, and all of them want shiny new cars! :p JTRACING 03-02-2007, 07:39 PM Nice. JTRACING 03-02-2007, 11:05 PM freakmech 03-02-2007, 11:17 PM This is fantastic work! The Hustler sets it off great but maybe a few greasy finger prints need to be added, stellar build, believe me, i rarely post in the street section!. Ill be following this one! Chad quadzero 03-03-2007, 12:55 AM The seat looks like a complete project in itself. I'm used to seeing this level of work from you now. This is like watching a sequel for a movie I really liked. Looking forward to more. mikemechanic 03-03-2007, 01:01 AM I betcha those pages are stuck together too. :-) Looks good as always James. Jmich 03-03-2007, 10:59 PM Fantastic! JTRACING 03-05-2007, 05:04 PM just a small update, installed the rear bumber http://content.bolt.com/uploads7/photo/6/2/3/6/5/9/623659/large/1173135182525.jpg klutz_100 03-05-2007, 09:52 PM Holy cow!! Looks super, James. Those gaskets in the back must be micro small!! Where do you get the odds and ends, if I may ask? bhop73 03-05-2007, 10:51 PM Man.. this is looking amazing. I also build armor and it's nice to see weathering techniques that are used in armor on a car/truck. You don't get to see weathering too often around here unless it's a rally car or somethin... willimo 03-05-2007, 11:17 PM Awesome. Just awesome. rsxse240 03-06-2007, 08:27 AM if I may? those gaskets look like a plastic 6 pack can (beer or soda) thing. excellent work though chevroletsilverado 06-21-2007, 08:05 PM how do you get the hood to sit flush near the windshield cowl. i have the 55 stepside and can't get it flush. gionc 06-22-2007, 01:34 AM This is art. mrawl 06-22-2007, 04:15 AM This is art. You're not wrong, this stuff belongs in an art gallery. Brilliant work. I'm scared to visit a military modeling site - there must be some wild work going on over there. auw12 06-22-2007, 05:38 AM Unbelievable... the pure work of art... I know doing all these realistic and reasonable weathering is actually way too much more difficult than making a squeaky shiny bodyshell. Brilliant!!!! deedlit 06-22-2007, 12:32 PM :eek2: MidnightWangan 06-26-2007, 09:29 PM Your weathering is ablsolutely surreal. :eek7: lancer07 06-28-2007, 03:09 PM excellent work on the truck! looks realistic. keep up the good work bigfrit 06-28-2007, 09:44 PM I'm in awe!
