S-10 Spider injection

Does anyone know when Chevy started using spider injection and when they stopped using it? I'm lookin to buy a newer s10 with a 4.3, but was told to stay away from the spider injection models and the 97 models.

the cpi spider was used from 92-95 and the attatched regulator is prone to leaking. also the injectors themselves can easily becomed clogged. thats probably the one you where told to stay away from. 96 and up used a spider assembly and is multi point CSFI. 97's are famous for early ignition switch failure.

Thanks for the info. Would you reccomend stearing clear of the 97's and 92-95 then? I'm looking for a vehicle thats ok on gas and is reliable, I drive a lot for college and work and need something relaible. As for a car, one I often haul things around and I just cant see me driving a car....:smokin:
