Headlight Replacementachigham 03-01-2007, 02:21 PM Recently, my headlight lamp when out on my 03 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan. After purchasing a new lamp, and carefully following the manual, I've come to understand that I have to ?pry? the headlight assembly out of the car. Yes, the manual actually uses the word pry. :screwy: After unscrewing a few bolts, and removing push-in caps, the manual actually instructs me to pry the entire assembly out of the car. :uhoh: I thought that maybe with a little pressure it might pop out, but after some strenuous prying it isn't 'popping' out. I don't want to break the headlight, so I'm trying to be ‘pry’ as gently as I can. :shakehead Is there an easier way to do this? or am I completely misunderstanding the manual? jose quezada 03-01-2007, 02:26 PM You are misunderstanding the manuel. achigham 03-01-2007, 02:33 PM You are misunderstanding the manuel. You haven't really given a reason as to why I'm misunderstanding it. Out of the manual: Step 1: Open the hood and remove the two headlight mounting screws. (Done) Step 2: Remove the push-in fasteners by prying under the head of the fastners with a flat bladed tool. (Done) Step 3: Gently pry the headlight assembly away from the fender as shown in the picture. This will free the ball stud from its retainer in the fender. Pull the headlight assembly away from the vehicle. (???) Steps 4 - 8 seem pretty straightforward. What am I misunderstanding here? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
