1990 Chev Lumina Oil PressureCMCLARKE 02-27-2007, 09:34 AM Help!!!!!I have a 1990 Chevy Lumina that has lost oil pressure. The oil is full but the guage seems to show very little pressure. Any Sugestions? richtazz 02-27-2007, 03:56 PM Before you panic, if the engine isn't making any ticking or knocking noises, try changing the oil pressure sensor. It may be faulty and not sending a proper signal to the guage. footballguy 02-28-2007, 01:56 AM If you didn't have any oil pressure then I'm sure you would notice a serious loss of power. I agree with richtazz, it may just be the sensor. dirtfarmer678 02-28-2007, 09:14 AM Hi All This is my girlfriends car. Where do we find the oil press sensor? Is there a way to manually check the pressure? Since the press is low on the guage we have been spooked to drive the car. Thanks for your input CMCLARKE 03-21-2007, 11:14 PM Thanks for all the great information. I replaced the oil pressure switch and low and behold I know have oil pressure. This has been a great help.
