Milky Dipstick

I have a 2000 Alero 4CYL and i was checking the oil this morning and noticed that dreaded milky substance on the dipstick. I called my mechanic and he told me to change the oil and check it again in a couple of days as it could be condensation from driving short distances and the engine not properly getting warmed up. What are the chances that this is the problem. Please Help.

This could be condensation if you drive short trips.
When you change the oil look for any milky color,
if you have a leak it would look like creamy coffee .

Ohh, my friend had a milky dipstick and it took a lot of expensive creams to fix it. Oops, sorry. Yes, if you dirve a lot of short trips the engine will collect moisture and could deposit on the dipstick. Now, if you don't drive short distances and have noticed some missing coolant, you probably have the very common intake gasket failure.
