Full Size Spare?conncarl 02-25-2007, 12:18 PM Has anyone ever carried a full size spare on a current generation Caravan? I'm just trying to figure out if it will fit on the stock undercar carrier. My S.O. loves to drive up on curbs and has wiped out two or three tires that way, and the space saver really sucks. Thanks! Carl KManiac 02-25-2007, 12:29 PM Yes, a full size spare will fit in your spare tire carrier. Basic equipped Chrysler minivans came from the factory with compact spare tires. All Chrysler minivans with trailer-towing packages and all AWD (all wheel drive) vans came from the factory with full-size spares. I suspect your van does not have a trailer-towing package and is not AWD. I know what you mean about curbs. My wife once removed a 6-inch round chunk of sidewall off the original Michelin on the right front parking on the street. sixseas 02-25-2007, 09:24 PM With my full size spare a after market class II trailer hitch for a jet ski wont fit. Just a consideration if you have need to mount a hitch in the future. vipergg 02-25-2007, 10:09 PM With my full size spare a after market class II trailer hitch for a jet ski wont fit. I have a 96 SWB and 2004 full size T&C and they both have class II's on them and they just bolted on without a problem . There is no problem getting a class II hitch on mini's with a full size spare , Reese makes hidden hitches that just bolt on to existing holes with 4 bolts.. corning_d3 02-25-2007, 10:20 PM Be glad your spare isn't located like the stow-n-go's. sixseas 02-25-2007, 10:37 PM I tried to install it on a 95 Voyager in Tallahssee but kept it for the jetski on my 93 T&C in Chicago no luck either. As I recall it was a Reese Omni II hitch. Wouldnt fit with the full size tire installed when spare was removed bolts right on frame. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
