you have heard this story 100 times.. but i am determined to get this fixed..

i plan on posting pictures tomorrow about whats goin on here

140,000 just bought it.. they re-did the head... no problems.

she doesn't know when.. but at a stop.. it idles up and down.. doesn't stall though-

and when im not pressing the brake - it idles high.

this is only when its warm of course...

i assumed vacume hoses.. so thats where i am at now.. ill show you guys a picture but - on my throttle body.. there are four small lines running to the engine - then there is another guy.. forward most of the truck.. facing right - it just had a cap on it... and i looked at other pictures - and this was not so

also - i see a rusted old bolt stickin in where the cold start injector should be i think..

i have the haynes manual.. but it doesn't really say

so help if you can - any questions

e-mail me or post up here..

You answered your own question.

The cause of the pulsating when braking is due to the high idle.
The ECM is being "confused" by the high idle and the brake pedal being applied.
Lower the idle to spec and the problem will go away.

the idle screw won't go down any further - the other way -it just fucks up more -

anything else?...

im thinking brake booster and or valve

Something is causing the high idle. May be related to the head work.

I wouldn't go replacing brake parts.

i took some hoses apart and checked for corrosion or any problems..

i can't find the IAC.. my throttle body doesn't look like the one in the haynes..

in the second picture.. the steel metal thing in the middle - is off the air hose.. i took that apart and cleaned it a little.. it was just dusty kinda..

i got throttle body cleaner, and plan to clean that.. see what happens then.

talk to you dudes later.. thanks for the help

Your brake booster may be the problem and it is simple to test, just take off the vacume hose from the brake booster and plug it. If the problem goes away its your brake booster diaphram. Plug all un hooked vacume lines and ports as well.
