I have a 1991 dodge car in my front yard. The owner of the car skipped town about three months ago and i havent seen him since. the car itself needs a bit of work but other than that it is driveable. My question is that how long does that car have to sit in my drive way before i can take any legal action as to registering that car as my ownl??????

For Louisiana, you need to provide a notice to the last known address of the car owner (for storage I suppose) and after a period of 45 days, you are free to do what you wish.

It would be better to ask someone who is aware of the law.

Part it out? Unless you want it. Best to go to city hall and ask though.
