I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited. When I tried to remove the headlight assembly to replace a burnt out Lowbeam I ended up breaking one of the ball socket clips. I still haven't gotten it out because I am afraid of breaking another one or both of them and I am not sure where to find them. The dealer I went to showed me his breakdown of the assembly and it didn't even list or show them. Anyone else had trouble pulling the assembly? (and yes I removed the screw first). Thanks for any help.

Well, I have a 1995 JGC and I believe
the headlight assembly are pretty
much the same. I was pulling out
my headlights yesterday and had the
same problem. The ball socket clips
would stay stuck on the headlight adjustor,
right? If so, you should be able to just
yank them out with needle nose pliers.
Once you yank them out, just clip
them back into the headlight and
put the headlight back into it's sockets.
You might have to give it a little push
on the headlight until it clips in good.
That's what I did with mine and had
no problem.
If you break the ball socket clips,
just take a trip to your local salvage
yard and pull the clips out from there.
If anything, they'll give you the clips
for free.
