Front brakesSimTek 02-18-2007, 04:37 PM I have a 2005 Town Country. I did a simple brake pad job like I've done on all my cars. I used a C clamp to slowly push in the pistons and replaced the pads. The pistons are not coming out now on both sides. Pedal goes to floor, Have to pump to get pressure then back to the floor. Tried bleeding front brakes, get a steady streem when doing it, but both side pistons will still not come out. Did I mess up the Master cylinder pushing the fluid back?, or is the ABS causing the fluid to not build up pressure? I have 30,000 on the van and the front brake pads were down to nothing. manlystanley 02-19-2007, 02:22 PM I have a 2005 Town Country. I did a simple brake pad job like I've done on all my cars. SimTek, To this untrained eye, it sounds like either a master cylinder or air is in the line. I can't see it being the ABS if the ABS light does not stay on--but I guess anything is possible. Try this, loosen up the master cylinder break lines some and then have someone press on the brake pedal. You should see some break fluid squiring out. Good luck. Best Regards, Stan SimTek 02-19-2007, 04:51 PM I found my problem. The outer clip on the passenger side was installed, by me, Wrong. I had the ears on the inside not the outside. It was causing the piston to be pressed back in after releasing the brake pedal. It was getting dark when I did it and it just fell into place wrong. I'm back up.
