I was wondering if someone could tell me if a 1.6 is timed with a chain or belt and the recomended service interval, any help would be appreciated. Also any advice or pictures on the timing belt/chain replacement as pertains to a 2000 Almera would great. thanx:screwy:

It is a timing chain and they do not need to be serviced/changed. They should last over 200,000 miles(320,000 kilometres) without incident.
