whats the deal with the M3 not being offered anywhere
if you go to the BMW international website, you can find the M3, but if you go to a specific country, it isnt.
is BMW phasing out the M3?

Production of the current M3 has ended. BMW is still testing the next one video and spy pics are all over the place.

yeah the E46 M3 isnt being produced anymore and dealers (such as mine) are starting to phase them out to make room for the new E92 M3. IDK when its going to be unveiled, but my guess is at Geneva. So they wont make M3's until mid-late 2007 for a a late 2007 arrival to dealers. Info you dont want/need, but may help solve your question.

but are they going to have the "new look" of the 07 and 06 bmw's?
personally i dont like the new (bangle?) styling.
the thing that was confusing me is that it was there on the official bmw international website...

Yup, the new M3 will be E90/E92, the new generation and it is due to be shown for the first time in either March or April this year. Its supposed to have a 4.0l V8 similar to the M5/M6's V10 with about ~420 hp or so.
Have you actually driven or seen the new 3er's up close? They really arn't that bad. The newer BMWs really grow on you when you spend more time with them. Either way, the power bump will be more then worth it.
If you want M3 performance, I'd look into the M Coupe/M Roadster.

Yea they are not bad little cars. On track they make up for what they are lacking on the street and have been known to keep up with the new Vipers.

Haha, you watch way too much Jeremy Clarkson. They are actually pretty decent cars on the road. Clarkson has never liked the Z4's suspension, but Hammond likes it. Its a little harsher then the M3, but they are much nicer on the road then the Corvette and certain other cars.

I think what it really is, is tht I am just used to my E36. The E46 didn't feel right to me for some reason either.

well i'm nowhere near owning an M3, but if i was going to buy a BMW, (realistic dream car) it'd be an M3.
i really dont care that much about the extra power because there are other ways to get more power if i were to need it.
the main reason i'd buy an M3 is for looks, followed by indestructability of the driveline. they also seem to hold their value pretty well (or so it seems)

WTF that M3 is being sold for $11,000?!?!?! How could they even think its a 318i? The E46 M3 is pretty darn good for its price performance-wise. And the new 3 series sedan/coupe look great after youve been with it, like DinanM3_S2 said. The coupe is a hot car no matter how long youve seen it for.
