Delay wipers not working...heyraver 02-15-2007, 06:46 PM Hello people, I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8. About two nights ago, it was snowing pretty good and I had my wipers on (obviously). I got home and parked my vehicle over night, but didn't bother to turn off my wipers. To make a long story short, There was so much snow on my windshield, that my wipers were unable to move. I started up my vehicle to warm up and left it idling for about 15 minutes. I cleaned off my windshield and I noticed that my wipers were on, but not moving. None of the delay options work on my wipers, but "LO" and "HI" work. Also, my rear wiper doesn't work anymore either. I'm wondering if I blew a fuse or the motor. Any Ideas... ? .... Anyone? hardisk_c 02-16-2007, 05:45 AM Had the same problem on my '94. More than likely the intermittent wiper relay overheated. Can try to get the part from dealer, jy or the like, but if you're fairly good with a soldering gun, you can pull the relay (its on the driver's side, behind the kick panel on your left). On mine, once the relay box was opened up and the circuitry inspected, one of the long-ish spans of circuitboard had a noticable black char mark. Bridge that, slap it back in and should be good as new. heyraver 02-18-2007, 04:08 PM Hey, thanks for your reply! While i'm gettin' a new bumper, light sockets, and fender at the salvage yard, i'll pick that up too. (An ambulance cliped me Saturday night) ekelley1985 10-16-2007, 07:12 PM hardisk_c thank you so much. i have a 1994 grand cherokee, i had the same problem and did exactly as you posted! simple, easy, detailed instructions. works just like new. just use a little drop of solder to complete the circuit. perfect!!!!!!! :grinyes: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
