I am in the market for a newer car and found that there is an abundance of 02/03 crown vic police cars. They normally have 90-100k miles on them. My question(s) is how do theese hold up? I worked at a ford dealer for 2yrs back in 00-02 and newer fords seem to hold up ok. I know the older ones tend to burn oil after 100k miles. What are the common probs theese have at this mileage? (oil leaks, trannsmission, rear end, coil packs, wiring???) I am planning on maybe looking at some this weekend at a local dealer. They run about 4500-5500.00, anything I should look for/hear ect would be nice thanks!

I am interested in selling my 2000 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. The engine purrs, but the body is a bit beat up. It could use a little mechanical work, and a little body work, and a new paint job. I am asking $1500 for it. It has 143000 miles on it, but as i mentioned, the engine seems solid. email me if you are interested. LightningFog@yahoo.com Use the Re: title as: Inquiring about police interceptor.
