My 2001 Is Leaking Coolant From Both Hose Connections Going Into The Firewall. I Replaced The Clamps Hoping This Would Fix But My Mechanic Syas It Could Be The Heater Core Then Rolled His Eyes.....anyone Have This Problem? How Big A Job Is It?

hope you never over tighten them and cracked the core.

It is a big job, calling for 5.4 hours on the NADA labor guide. Unless you are pretty knowledgeable in turning wrenches, you might need to pony up and have the mechanic do the job.

I leaned on the heater core hose while working on another part of the engine and unfortunatly cracked the core.

If you live in a warm climate you have another option. I live on a tropical island and I plan to connect the two hoses together. That should take less than 5.4 hours. Don't plug just one hose! You will need to keep the coolant flowing.
