I'm looking for a 5.0 mustang engine. I don't want to pay a huge amount of cash for it so i'm looking for one that's kinda shot. Like needs new heads,a thrown rod something along the lines of fixable under a budget. I don't want anything with a cracked block or a very expensive repair. My budget is around 5000 dollars. If I can't find one on the net,it's off to the junk yards.

I want to do a custom swap and put a 5.0 and a 9 inch in a 94 Mazda B2300 and make it into a sleeper hell if I could find a 60's Inline 6 with 165 horse i'd buy it. I also found another mustang closer to me with 90000 on it and 1000 miles on the new tranny. I offred the guy 3000 and he hasn't emailed me back. He wants 3995 and it has visible surface rust.

Edit: Well now that I look it over that car would be a better buy. It's and easy fix denting that fender out. Hopefully he wasn't just saying that he took good care of it. I want a beater but not something that's going to break down. Thanks for the Info.

5k for the project or 5k for the motor?
http://www.fordracingparts.com/crateengine/302smallblock.asp might stretch you a bit with the rest of the components, but it looks like a nice start to me.
