Hi everyone I recently bought accord type r 1999 with 93000 km passed I have done a compression test and the numbers are 14.1 kPa on each cylinder does it sound right and which octane fuel should I use ,sorry for my bad english. :confused:

As far as I know the difference is what matters.
If your all cyllinders give you the same readings this suppose to be good.
For the gas: 87 octaine is what recomended and that what I use.

on a type r? use nothing less than 89...but 91 is recommended.

I can only find 98 or 95 octane unleaded but what will be the compression like
11:1 10:1 meaning the preasure on each cylinder is 14kPa

the compression should be 11:1 and as far as fuel, run the highest octane you can get at a normal pump

Yes it should be 11:1 but it looks like the owner did build up the engine the compression was measured with four difrent instruments and it is 14 bar or 14 Kpa*100 and I do have a problem with the fuel at least 103 octane
