Dies At All Stop Signs And Red Lights

My 1989 jeep wrangler has been getting me to my job everyday which is 30 miles round trip. For some strange reason all of a sudden it decides it wants to just die out whenever i come to a stop sign, red light or whenever i have to stop. It starts right up again then dies at next stop. I can pump gas to keep it running but very annoying. Is this a sensor issue. The gas pedal also just decided it likes to stick in down position and needs to be kicked down hard to come back up. Please can anybody help me.

I'd have a look first at the linkage of the throttle, if it's sticking that could be a big part of the issue. Check the linkage to find where it's sticking; if it's at the throttle body it could be binding on something there, even a sensor.

Second, what engine and how many miles?
