Hurst Shifterjaydv 01-31-2007, 07:19 PM Just heard that there's a Competition Plus shifter for 2005 GTOs. Anyone try it yet??? rzkz8k 02-06-2007, 05:32 AM Is it really available? For the past two years I've been hearing that Hurst is coming out with a shifter and many rumors about the release date. I think everyone that was interested in replacing the stock shifter (me included) has upgraded with the GMM. I think it would be very difficult to top the GMM. jaydv 02-06-2007, 08:21 AM Shifter is available for '04-'05 GTOs. You can check it out in the JEGS catalog. Part number 391-5065. By the way, what's a GMM? rzkz8k 02-13-2007, 05:29 AM That part is not in stock nor has it ever ben in stock. The Hurst shifter was never made to the best I can tell. I've have the GMM Ripshifter on my 05 and I don't see how a shifter could be any better. Here is the link: http://www.jhp.com.au/monaro-gto/gto-short-shift.php BTW: I have the street version. If you would like to know more about the vaporware Hurst and the Ripshift, search around www.ls2gto.com. Autobanaurora 03-08-2007, 03:44 PM Actually, the Hurst IS NOT available due to B@M buying out Hurst. I've had one ordered since November. I called this month and was told my Hurst (B&M) that they are now retooling the line to manufacture the new Hurst shifter for the new GTO. Those that were lucky enough to get one early last year had problems, (some may have) and Hurst addressed this issue. Unfortunatly, they were bought out by Mr. Gasket then B&M. I was promised two weeks ago my shifter would arrive my the end of March. I'll believe it when I see it.:shakehead vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
