I didnt want to be the an ass and say nothing but since you already mentioned it they do seem kinda slow.
theres just no ferocity. Maybe if they went from a dig itd look a little faster.

Some of those times seemed a little slow. 7.5 seconds for a civic si? 7.1 for an s/c cobalt?

that's what i was thinking,, plus the music kind of covered up the sound of the cars, so that kind of took away from the "ferocity" as well.

I think the tall gearing in the Cobalt SS made them seem slow. It's kinda like the GTP's, as they aren't really rev monsters. I find myself shifting alot more then that Cobalt SS through the gears.

nice race, I raced a modified mach 1 from a dig and it was a tough race, I did end up passing him but by then we were doing 100+

By the looks of his exhaust I would say he is TT. The base model on up to the R/T had just 2 tips coming out of one side....R/T TT has the 4 tips and dual exhaust...

Yeah, but the additional exhaust outlet is actually just a resonator. I have trouble believing an R/T TT can pass a Mach 1 after 100mph. They can certainly outlaunch a Mach1 on the street, but they have no power up top comparatively. My old R/T TT didn't have all that much power up top.

I dont know if it's him or not but how much wieght dif. is there between the TT and n/a. The AWD has to be at least 400-500lbs heavier.

Ehh it's not hard to pull an automatic equipped LS1. A stock 01/02 LS1 will put down a 104-107mph trap speed in the 1/4 mile, while a VR4 will hammer down a 101-103mph trap. The trap speed is illustrative of a car's power. Not saying you didn't beat an LS1 from a roll, but saying it was most likely an auto.

true, very true but obviously not everything to do with it. and your right, it probably was an auto, i also pulled on my dads C5 vette from a roll(auto), and also ran neck and neck with a C5 with exhaust, with my bpu's, and he was a stick.

no but really, it really tends to get more and more powerfull the higher in speed...not to mention a pretty high top speed...but that also has a lot to do with aero and long gears

i'm really just clearing things up for 209, there not slow on a roll...most cars cant keep up within my 3rd gear range up to 125mph. just for an example a bpu 300zxtt that beat me by a car length up to about 120mph. i had no b/c at the time..i killed a evo8 on a roll and a nsx on a roll with stock boost. but i couldnt catch a cobra up to 135mph....that might give you some insight on what i mean by not slow but not the fastest from a roll either

Mine cant outlaunch a Mach1, Im converted TT so im FWD, higher compression and bigger turbos and alot of mods though :wink: It took me a while to catch up after my shitty take off, especially with the tires I had at the time.. Although I raced the mach1 and a mod'd LS1 from a roll and I was gone in a heartbeat :icon16: Regular RT/TTs and Vr4s are no joke from a roll either, it depends on their condition and mods.

yea he was stock also(i think) not sure, it was a guy who was at the street races who was talkin sh!t about my car was just another slow japanese rice. and after i left and took my girl home, i got back on the freeway and seen him...i knew it was him cause of his flames he had going down the sides of his car

i actually started about 2 car lengths behind him and by 145mph i was in front and by i believe was 150mph(not exactly sure i stoped looking at the speed and payed more attention to the road) i had a car length on him

Ehh VR4's are dangerous on the street. Any car with AWD is gonna have an advantage over a rwd car, considering how most people don't have time to heat up their drag radials. I just know that my former Stealth ran out of gas up top compared to my LS1.
