So I am planning on doing a swap on my 97 Civic Hatch, and before i get real knee deep in it i cant decide what motor to go with. Im planning on fully rebuilding the motor and eventually turboing it, or even right away. But still dont know what motor to go with. I like the idea of a b18c1 fully built, but someone told me that turbo+vtec does not go good together. so then i looked into a LS non vtec, but then that wont creat as much horsepower. Im not stingey when it comes to price, so really thats not a problem. or should i just stay with a b16? my plans for the turbo kit is just to go with one from www.full-race.com (http://www.full-race.com). They are expensive but i hear their manifolds are nice and wont crack. I am just looking for some input on what motor to go with because i really cant decide anything would help!

The boosted vtec engine thing is a myth started by people who don't know what they are talking about.
