how to program a keyless remote for 99 avalonmicali 01-29-2007, 08:08 PM I've check all forums and cna't find it. How do I program my keyless remote for a 99 Avalon xls. It is the factory installed version. Is it the same for the 2000? Onblsht 01-31-2007, 09:48 PM Even tho Toyota says the GQ43VT7T remote was only used from 95-98 in the Avalons, here are the instructions for that remote: http://originalkeyless.com/images/1167946070696-1103207604.jpeg 1. Remove key from ignition 2. Locate bulb failure warning module in truck near left trunk hinge and disconnect electrical connector. 3. Jump pins 2 & 10 of connector with short wire or paper clip 4. Door locks will cycle 5. Press any button on remote keyless entry entry transmitter 6. Door locks will cycle 7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for another transmitter 8. Remove jumper from connector and reconnect to module NOTE: A max of 4 transmitters can be programmed to a car NOTE: Entering programming mode erases all previously programmed transmitters. The dealerships don't know s*&t! They are worthless. All I can go off is what my manual says and it says use fcc #GQ43VT7T. Onblsht 02-01-2007, 11:51 AM According to the TSB from Toyota, the GQ43VT7T remote is used only on the 95-98 Avalons with the FACTORY remote system. The 96-97 use the BLACK RS3000 remote for the dealer/port system. The 98-99 use the GRAY RS3000 remote for the dealer port system. The 98-99 use HYQ1512Y for the FACTORY remote system. The 00-04 use HYQ12BAN for the FACTORY remote system. micali 02-05-2007, 05:25 PM is there a way to tell which one you have? I do not have anyting in the trunk. No black box's. micali 02-05-2007, 05:45 PM I pulled the side panel away and notice a green box and a black box under it. Does this have anything to do with it? micali 02-17-2007, 12:38 PM Go to http://programyourremote.com/. They tell you how to program your remote. car and year specific. They only tell you how to do it for factory installed systems Brian R. 04-09-2007, 10:40 PM Go to http://programyourremote.com/. They tell you how to program your remote. car and year specific. Steburd 08-30-2007, 11:18 AM NOTE: A max of 2 transmitters can be programmed to a car NOTE: Entering programming mode erases all previously programmed transmitters. I have 4 remotes for my 99 Avalon. The programming did not erase previous ones. csaxon 08-30-2007, 03:31 PM That's correct 4 per car. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
