For those of us who don't get Sport Compact Car, I scanned some pictures from their latest article on the C-West RX-7, and an underchassis shot of the 350Z from last month's issue. Pretty soon SCC's website www.sportcompactcarweb.com should have the text of the Cwest RX7 article up too. Some cool points about the car: 480 HP tuned 13B (I think), that's very overbuilt to resist malfunction, and a 13 point roll cage. Hope you like it.

i am too. it hasn't made much progress in the last while though because of the paint mess-up. but it'll get going again soon. the real version of that car must be one of my top 5 dream cars. that thing is just sweet, period.

So is anybody ambitious enough to kitbash the Aoshima kit and a Tamiya RX-7 R1 to create this bad boy?

Another intersting fact about this car is that the bodykit is fully functional, depsite its aggressive nature. It was designed with elements of motorcycle GP bikes in mind. The wheels are also only 17 inches too. In my mind this car represents one of the perfect fusions of form and functionality.

Although C-West RX7 looks wild, best part of C-West is the combination of visual impact and race developed aerodynamics.

The body kit is used for Japan's Super Taikyu (endurance) racers.

As for a detailed Aoshima RX-7, the best way is probably to install the engine from Tamiya on the Aoshima kit.
Just cut the oil pan from both kits, and install the Tamiya's engine assembly. The engine room of the Tamiya kit isn't so detailed, so it doesn't have advantage of swapping the entire chassis, considering the workload of adjusting the tire and wheel arch clearance etc.
