Antifreeze questionuH8THECHEVY 01-25-2007, 09:30 PM I have a 1994 Lumina witha 3.1L engine. I recently changed the thermostat and the upper radiator hose. Since then i have noticed that the antifreeze in the radiator don't get hot but the hose that I changed is hot. Is there blockage somewhere? Thanks in advance for any help. richtazz 01-26-2007, 09:59 AM If you didn't bleed the air out of the cooling system after changing the t-stat, it's possible that there is air trapped in the engine which isn't allowing proper coolant circulation. hondahawkster 06-21-2009, 07:13 PM I had the same problem . there was a bleeder valve that I had to open to let the air out ... jeffcoslacker 06-23-2009, 11:51 PM Ditto. You're airlocked. Open the bleeders and fill w/engine off, run to operating temp, let cool for 15 minutes or so, open bleeders and fill, repeat until you get no air when you open them.
