As for a new motor, B16, B18, B20, NA, turbo, your call. research, find out what you want and what is realistic, then do it. smithces13 01-25-2007, 09:25 PM is the d16y8 a vtec cause any site with engines just say d16vtec and thats it sorry this is my first honda so it might be a stupid ? alphalanos 01-25-2007, 09:40 PM Yes d16y8 is VTEC. smithces13 01-25-2007, 10:13 PM will a d15 vtech from a 92-95 drop right in with out anything CivicSpoon 01-25-2007, 11:05 PM is there anything wrong with your existing engine? why do you want to change it? If nothing's wrong with it, you should get a better ECU (P28, which is the ecu from a '92-'95 Si and EX) and get a conversion harness to change over to OBD1. 808hardbody 01-30-2007, 12:33 AM how is your vtec activated? curious LS ECU smithces13 02-02-2007, 11:16 PM i dont know how it works the car is messed up Civic_dreamer 06-24-2007, 03:35 PM I have a newly rebuilt D16Y8 with about 7000 miles on it and only want 700 dollars for I've put 2K into the engine....I just bought a H22A to put in mine so don't need the D16Y8 anymore...
